Implementation Plan and Timeline

President John Fry has charged the community with implementation of recommendations in four key challenge areas. As implementation begins, plans, progress and updates will be posted here for the university community.

NISS Diagnostic & Playbook at Temple University

Through participation in the University Innovation Alliance (UIA), Temple received funding to partner with NISS in conducting an in-depth review of institutional practices, policies, and student support systems that influence student success. The assessment was designed to identify institutional strengths, uncover opportunities for improvement, and provide evidence-based recommendations to enhance student retention, persistence, graduation outcomes, and equity in student achievement.

What did the NISS Diagnostic & Playbook process look like?

The NISS Diagnostic & Playbook was a collaborative effort between professionals at both Temple University and the NISS.

Implementation of projects in these four areas supports Student Success, the keystone of Forward with Purpose: Temple University's Strategic Plan. As projects are underway, we are committed to tracking student outcomes, such as retention, graduation and post-graduation outcomes rates in order to close gaps and improve student success.
